From Supporting the Underdog to Empowering Leaders

Hi there, I'm Corinne Wilhelm.

I grew up on the South West coast of England and studied Business & Marketing before leading international teams in London. That's where I noticed something frustrating: some of my most brilliant team members—usually non-native speakers—weren't getting the recognition they deserved.

I tend to support the underdog, and I'll always fight for my team. What I discovered was that it usually came down to communication and intercultural awareness, not capability.

Why I Created English Speaking Experts

As a multilingual Brit, I became fascinated with supporting these 'undiscovered experts'. When I helped them speak up in a way that made a better impression—starting with English confidence, then moving to delivery, body language, and presence—they gained the recognition and promotions they'd long deserved.

With 30 years in male-dominated industries across Europe, I've seen the unique challenges women face climbing the leadership ladder. That's why I created the English Speaking Experts community—because confident, clear communication changes everything.

The thing about me is that I really deep dive and learn everything I can about my current topic of interest. When I get a new VIP client, I soak up everything relating to their zone of genius so I can help them sound like the expert in their industry—faster.

Global Perspective, Personal Touch

I pivot regularly between Cambridge, Berlin, and Salzburg, bringing a truly international perspective. My handbag always includes my Kindle, pretty pens and notebooks, and earphones for the latest podcasts.

I was one of the first certified online trainers back in the 90s; my Erasmus year in Finland gave me early exposure to international cultures. Fun fact: I negotiated my first job offer after university for a higher salary—which delayed my move to Germany by six years. And if you're wondering about plants, don't give me any—they're just not safe with me!

I coach comfortably in both my native English and professional Deutsch, blending cross-cultural sensitivity with practical strategies.
